About
Mr Cumming is a highly experienced and dedicated consultant spinal surgeon. He is committed to providing the best quality care for both his surgical and non-surgical patients. His work as a consultant spinal surgeon in Ipswich hospital extended beyond the care of his individual patients when he became the clinical lead for spinal and musculoskeletal services for five years. During this time, he has been credited with transforming the unit into one of the leading orthopaedic spinal hubs in the country. Patients often comment not only on how knowledgeable and caring Mr Cumming is but also on how proactive he is in providing care to patients with a view to improving their lives as quickly as possible. Mr Cumming’s passion and commitment for driving improvement in spinal care is also reflected in his position as President of the prestigious British Association of Spinal Surgeons (BASS). In this role, he is involved in developing national guidelines, setting national standards, and is active in the latest research.
